Amy Hertz, a registered dietitian and CDCES, has dedicated her career to diabetes care since 2009. She focuses on collaborative, person-centered care and integrating technology to enhance life quality. Amy has led the CORE Concepts® Course for five years and teaches undergraduate students.
David Miller
RN, BSN, MSEd, CDCES, FADCES
David Miller brings a wealth of experience as an inpatient educator, outpatient DSME program quality manager, DPP facilitator, and clinical trainer in insulin pump technology. He is dedicated to tailoring diabetes education to each individual's understanding and readiness. David has also contributed to numerous articles and book chapters and co-edited The Art and Science of Diabetes Care and Education.
John Bucheit
PharmD, CDCES, FADCES
John Bucheit is an Associate Professor at VCU School of Pharmacy, where he facilitates higher learning and mentors students preparing to embark on their careers. He has over ten years of experience working as a pharmacist and diabetes care and education specialist, where his work combines clinical practice with a passion for teaching. He first joined the CORE Concepts Course faculty in 2020.
